My Story

Hi there! My name is Issie.

Several years ago, I was struggling with persistent mental health challenges.

I spent over a decade trying different forms of therapy, but unfortunately, they all felt like temporary fixes.

In an attempt to feel better, I decided one day to 'try harder'. I dove into self-help, trying to care for myself in every way I knew how to. I found a stable job at a prestigious institution. I read many non-fiction books and listened to various podcasts. I went to yoga, spent time with friends, kept myself “busy and balanced.”

But I still felt something was missing. On the outside, I was a highly functioning person, but on the inside, I felt empty.

Until I found mindfulness, which completely transformed my life.

I felt as if there was a whole new way of living for me that brought a lot more colour, calm and compassion into my life. Mindfulness helped me to realise that I didn't need to 'find happiness' or 'find peace' or 'find purpose'. This whole time I was chasing it, it was right here waiting for me. It wasn't a destination I needed to get to, it was a journey I was able to experience right now.

So over the next months, I began to embody mindfulness. When my internal world changed, my external world changed too. I left the job that was draining me, and chose to follow what brought me joy. I trained to become a mindfulness teacher through a BPS-approved qualification, building on my Psychology background. I continued learning, exploring tea rituals, hypnotherapy, Qigong and integrative practices rooted in stillness, reflection, and depth.

Today, I live a life where no matter what my external world looks like, my internal world will always feel safe, peaceful and beautiful for me. Not because everything is perfect, but because I’ve built a relationship with myself that feels like home. I am grateful for life itself every day, and I find meaning in almost everything I do or trust in any situation that happens.

And now, this is what I hope to share with others. Not a promise of constant bliss, but a way of being that feels more intentional, more connected and more fully lived. If that is what you are longing for, just like I did, I'd love to walk that path with you.
